Ivy moving into Sylvie's house seems unrealistic.

I mean, here you have a girl that you've only met for a couple of days and don't know much about and you decided one day after a few weeks of knowing her "Ok, you can come live with me". It feels out of place to let a person that you barely even know to move into your house quickly.

reply

Sylvie desperately wanted a friend. Plus, Ivy was tricking them into thinking that she was perfect. But as time went on, she revealed her true colors.

I'm so sick of people who don't know how to properly use the terms realistic/unrealistic!

What seems so unrealistic about it? My sister had her friend move in with us when we were in our teens even though we knew her for years? It actually happens all the time.

reply

But to ask someone to move in with you that you only knew for a week?

reply

Sylvie was lonely and her parents failed to set boundaries, so I don't think it was that unrealistic given the whole setup.

reply

If I ask my parents if a person that I knew from school for a week to come live in the house, my parents would freak out because that person's a total stranger and would immediately say no. Unless if a person has a bad home life, then it's a different story.

reply

Unrealistic? No. Weird and uncommon? Yes.

When I was 12 my 42 year old dad let a 17 year old girl move into our house after knowing her a few weeks. So he could sleep with her and do drugs with her.

Not everyone's life is "normal".
