Why does Ivy's Aunt get money for her staying with the Cooper's and wherever she was staying before? Was it at a brothel? It would make sense if the Aunt payed someone to take her in, but HER get money? Makes no sense. Also, it does NOT rain that much in Los Angeles. UNless the element of water is symbolic, directress Shea was really stupid putting that in despite the fact that, regionally, it's just not possible.

Ivy's aunt got welfare for ivy. So when I y spent so much time staying with the Cooper's the aunt was over the moon as she still got welfare but didn't have to spend any of it on ivy. Had it does rain in LA. And when it does it rains hard!
