When getting to the burial ground

Why was it so much easier to get there, when in the first one, all that climbing was involved? Were they coming from the other side of it or something?

i just got done watching the movie for the first time in YEARS and it got to that scene and i was wondering the same thing

The first film was filmed in Maine; the second was filmed in Georgia. So that obviously means an entirely different setting with different distances and terrain on the route.
