Pretty meh overall.
The effects were fine. The acting was decent. It isn't near as good as the book or first film. Clancy Brown steals his scenes. 6/10.

It's been years since I've watched this movie, caught it again on Sundance and I must say this movie was terrible.
The first one was a lot better, had a more sad tone to it. This one seemed to be more campy.

Agreed. This one was all over the place, almost as if the creative team could not just settle on one idea. That's why it's a bit surprising to see other viewers express on this board on how the violence of this movie was disturbing. I don't think it was disturbing at all because it was so laughably bad, I couldn't even suspend belief to even take it a little bit seriously.
