shareyoure sick.
seriously messed up.
its idiots like you that are so immature you cant even watch a movie, that is suppose to be serious and sad.
this movie was far from serious. its laugh out loud funny.
shareYou both have a point. I do feel much of Pet Sematary 2 was intentionaly darkly funny in several places, and I myself laughed several times while watching it. The scene where Drew and his mom died though... That did not strike me as funny.
I'm sellin my soul to the Devil in you
i kno that was playing the song during the car chase scene with gus was hilarious.
no risk, no reward.

One part in this movie that has always made me laugh out loud ever since I saw it at the movies was at the end when the house was burning up and jeff and his dad are running out of the attic and the dead mom is standing there telling him to come back and that her and his father and I are trying to work things out ... Just struck me as pretty funny.

When Gus was climbing up the stairs and then falls down and he starts laughing, that was funny yes but when Drew and his mom got killed is sadistic, they didn't deserve it.
shareI actually crack up after the accident and gus drives away and the potato gets crushed under the tire. It makes a great noise!!!
shareI first saw this movie when I was 12 and I was I didn’t find the movie funny at all. I was routing for Drew to escape and when he died, I was shocked. I went to school I told my friend about the death by potato van scene and he found it hysterical. I’m 17 now and have watched Pet Sematary 2 many times. It’s so over-the-top it cracks me up. I find Clancy Brown’s performance as zombie Gus hilarious. Just him waving at waving through the window while trying to kill them always gets a laugh. Intended or not, I think this movie has elements of dark humour.
shareyes, i do agree with a lot of the posts above. many people do have a point, that the movie is a little cheesy, that it's actually funny sometimes. and maybe parts of it are supposed to be humorous. but the part where drew and his mom die is not supposed to be funny. and two innocent people dying in a car accident should not be funny to anybody, unless they are messed up in the head.
shareI guess jenk found it funny how Drew's face looked as you see him swing in his seat when the truck hits the car. I didn't find it funny because that was the most realistic car collision I've seen on film. Plus, Drew was my favorite character. He should've killed Gus and Zowie. If they STILL wanted to kill him off, Clyde could've done it or something.
shareI felt really bad for drew buddy and his mom. I wish they would have lived, but that's not what the writer thought. The potato truck, gus viciousness, the song playing, ect. was just hilarious.
shareWhy did gus turn on drew and his mom? I thought his attitude changed toward them after he died and came back.
shareHe was just feigning the nice guy thing. The zombies in Pet Sematary 2 seemed more cunning. The ones in Pet Sematary were plain feral. Gus really wanted to be with Renee so that's why he killed them and stole her body for Jeff. Then, he hoped she'd kill Jeff and Chase. As for Clyde, he was Drew's replacement.
shareClyde being killed was funny because of his being the bully and Gus,es one liner "im just fuvcking with ya" while droping that motorcycle across his face
Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today
Def dark humor and I loved it seems like Clancy did most of the best lines
"takin ya up to the hills Clyde ol buddy that's how the indians did it" (laughs)
Or
"I'm just *beep* with ya!"
Or
"days not done!"
(while falling off the hood of his wife's car as she speeds off in reverse) lol classic
I laughed at the end when the mom kept screaming "Dead is better".

lol, and just before she became a skeleton she was kind of oozy looking and I thought she looked like a piece of barbecue chicken.
sharei found alot of this movie funny, i admit to i found the part where he kills clyde funny (i felt clyde was a real prick and got what he deserved) but i didnt fnd the car crash scene funny

Every scene with Gus was awesome.
shareClancy Brown is terrific and fricken terrifying in this movie, lol. But the truck death isn't the slightest bit amusing - Far out!
The part after it amuses me, with Gus driving over the potato > Drives all over the road > Camera glides across autumn leaves to Clyde's bloody face, Cool little music (unapologetic twisted/quirky effective) cue over those shots, too.

I loved King's book, but the first movie blew. That happens a lot with his books. His writing truly allows the reader a chance to use their imagination, and when the movie's interpretation is way off from your own, it's disappointing. I recall when I saw the first film in the theater, the only entertaining part was when the baby, Gage, was run over by the semi. A guy a couple of rows behind me commented, "Well, he's disengaged now." You could hear people chuckling as it got passed around the theater. Sure it was tasteless, but funny. It's only a movie, folks.
