Jeff and Gus working together?
Why would Gus work with Jeff to get his mother back. Did I miss something? Seems like Gus would want to kill him instead of working for him getting his mother out of the casket.

The bury your own saying means whatever you bury become yours. Spoilers for Pet Sematary: [spoilers] Like in part 1 when Louis buried Church, Church then came to Louis [/spoilers] But Jeff working with Gus didn't make any sense. Who approached who? What was to gain for Gus?
shareGus wanted renee. Who approached who is also Gus as he may have said I know how you can get your mom back

Gus was trying to create a new life for himself. In a draft script, Gus's final line was slightly different.
"Just remember Chase...I had Renee first...now I'm gonna have her last..."
Basically, Renee and Clyde were planned to become his new family. He thought Renee would go home to Jeff, and kill him and his father. Then, she would be all his.
"Just remember Chase.. I had Renee first!" - Don't forget that Gus originally said that Renee and him were "highschool sweethearts" (They dated when they were young, obviously in their teens). Hence forth the line to chase - "I had Renee first."
"That's it. It bit into his arm-pit. Like It wanted to eat him, man. Like It wanted to eat his heart." shareYeah they shoulda never cut that out.. it woulda made his plan make much more sense. But honestly you coulda kinda tell anyways where he was going with that during the movie when he would bring it up, he still lusted for her quite badly. The whole plan in return makes his current wife and son's arc even more sad though. I do kinda wish they lived at the end to go with Chase and Jeff, granted it woulda been cheesy but they SO didn't deserve that death.
shareOh yeah. I could see that. Thanks for the reply,
