Hollywood won't be making hijack-themed films for a long time since it has been a sensitive subject since 9/11. On an interesting detail, Starz! had "Passenger 57" on its schedule to be aired the night of 9/11 but after the incident occurrred, the airing was cancelled. I haven't seen any more hijack films being aired on cable or TV since 2001. An exception was last year's "United 93" but it was a "based on a true story" thing but other than that, no hijack films will be made for pure entertainment like in the past. There were plans for Steven Seagal's return to the big screen for an "Under Siege 3" which was rumored to be about a plane hijacking but it was scrapped as a result. Turner used to air "The Delta Force" a lot on his channels TNT and TBS.

"Executive Decision", starring Kurt Russell and Halle Berry, has been on cable/satellite TV several times since 9/11.

Oddly enough, the plot involves Middle Eastern men with bombs taking over the plane and threatining to blow it up. I can't exactly remember why, though.

By the way, Steven Segal had a bit part in this movie as a military officer in charge of an elite rescue team, a la the Delta Force.
