one of the 10 best action movies of the 90's

In no particular order, 'cause that'd be too tough...only including R rated ones 'cause when you throw in stuff like the fugitive it gets confusing

speed
demolition man
passenger 57
die hard 3
true lies
terminator 2
under siege
predator 2

alright i'm out of movies, but there's more good ones

All of those movies are fine, maybe Demolition Man being just a bit weaker but still, fine.

Without a doubt the 80's and the beginning of the 90's has been the best time for true action movies.

Hard to think of any titles just out of the blue but just take a little peak at that particular eras hardest kicking action stars bios and there you go :)

In no particular order...
Wesley Snipes - Always bet on black!
Sylvester Stallone - I don't recall anything over the top but they used to be solid action.
Jean-Claude Van Damme - Same as Sly.
Steven Seagal - He may be a bit overweight now but his films back then were solid.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger - Most of them basic and then some of them highly explosive!
Kurt Russell - He's kind of not but there are some truely unforgettable ones.

...and yes, Passenger 57 is easily in the top 10.

Judgment night too.

Agreed. I love this film and was probably the film that made me took an interest in Snipe's career. Great action.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!

you got to be kidding me...passenger 57 should not even be mentioned in the same list as True Lies,Die hard movies or Terminator....Predator 2 was terrible film as well!!

My 10 would be
Terminator 2
Eraser
die hard 3 (the best of them)
Under Siege
Demolition Man ( that was Snipes best action film)
True Lies
Under Siege 2 (Yes I actually liked it although was not as good as 1st)
Lethal Weapon 4 with Jet li (although all lethal Weapon movies are great)
con Air
The rock

don't really care about ratings ....

Good list. I think Demolition Man gets better with repeat viewings. It stands up suprisingly well. Lot of subcontext going on. Very funny. Like Starship Troopers, another favourite that I would put on my '90's list.
I agree Snipes does some of his best work. He is awesome in this. So over the top. Brilliant!
Die Hard 3 is also sweet. I think it's my favourite of the trilogy. Very unlike the other two.
I also loved Predator 2. I think we're in the minority here, though. I liked the scenario a lot.
The rest of your list is good, too. There are so many to choose from that era.
I do not, however, like much of the Bruckheimer stuff. The Rock, ConAir, Armegeddon. Pure schlock. Still fun in a way but not worth more than 2 viewings.
Well, that's my two cents. I guess I can keep it, eh?

Oh, man, can't forget Cliffhanger. John Lithgow was awesome and the presence of the dad from "The Waltons" is always a mark of quality. Also, Michael Rooker can do no wrong as witnessed in Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer. If you've never seen it, do yourself a favor. Hannibal's got nothing on Henry.
Also, what about Sniper? I seem to recall that one being quite good.
