Taxi?

I don't get why he used a Taxi to get back to San Francisco. Would it have been easier to find a bus or a train that was going there instead. Hell a plane would have been easier also.

I think this film missed out on lot of fun that Nick could have done while he was invisible.

It was in the middle of the night, the bus traffic is rare then and the train station was probably nowhere near, so he just simply decided to take the cab. Nothing strange about that. The plane idea falls to pieces because it seemed the power plant was right near the area of San Francisco, you don't need a plane for such a small distance.

I think the Godfather missed out on lot of fun that the Corleones could have done while having so much money. I think The Shawshank Redemption missed out on lot of fun that the inmates could have had by playing 'hide and seek' with the prison guards. I think One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest missed out on lot of fun that Jack could have done by playing pranks on sister Ratched...

The bottom line is: the movie was designed as a science-fiction thriller with a few comical moments, and it did great in that respect. Too much comedy would have made it a typical, silly Chase film - but it wasn't. It was something different.
