I saw the DVD on Amazon, the release date was Jan. 15 2008.

I guess it's been re-released but can't tell if it's widescreen or not.

I didnt even know there was a DVD for this old flick. Any good bonus features or is it bare bones?

pretty much bare. There's a commentary, which I haven't watched yet.

Odd. But I seem to remember a voice-over in the beginning (...this is the story of when he found those shoes) that isn't on the DVD.

yeah my version that i watched just minutes ago for the first time is from 2005
