What will you do on November 23, 2009?
I'm going to walk into a diner with a limp, sit down, and order a plate of slop.
You?

I'm going to try to implant my mind into Emilio Estevez's body...
or maybe I'll just eat some cooked rats
back in 98 I did a titty comedy for Skinemax. Sex Camp, ya remember it?
LOL. Just watched this movie again last night and, yeah... November 23 is on a Monday instead of a Thursday. Sure, the movie was 18 years ago, but you'd think they'd still be able to get that right. Oh, but don't get me wrong. I love this movie in spite of its flaws. :)

You figured they would have gotten the day right, Demolition Man also got a future day wrong too lol. Now with all the computers it's so easy to see all future years day order but back then it probably took more work and the producers were too lazy to find it out. Well only about a week 'til November 23rd. I'll probably just watch the movie all day like everyone else ;)
I will be watching this movie on that day, or at least around it. I have to order the DVD first, though.

I'll be watching the film as well, even though I've seen it millions of times and have it on dvd. I don't care, I'll be watching it all day long as I won't be at work, I have it booked off. Not specially for this, lol. I had to use my holidays before the end of the year otherwise I'd lose them.
shareOrder the movie off Ebay and then with my receipt as proof I can tell everyone that that was the day I bought Freejack. And nobody will care but me.

I can't wait until Monday now, time to dust off that old VHS and watch Geoff Murphy sink the credibility he gained with The Quiet Earth. I think I'm going to dress as Mick Jagger and drive around bone-jacking freejacks, then break a Faberge egg and laugh maniacally.

Right. Well, I have to - I have to go now, Duane, because I, I'm due back on the planet Earth.
Well, today is the day. The film actually takes place in the course of a couple of days, so tomorrow is another day the rest of the movie took place. I did watch the film on Friday night, but I'll probably watch it again today. COOL!

I just watched it again, yeah it does take place over the course of a few days (23rd-25th). It felt really weird to see the digital clock and it reading the same date as my computer. I wonder if Emilio Estevez or anyone involved in this movie remembered this date when they woke up today lol
I waited months just to watch it on the exact day. So I did last night...

Well I know I am a bit late, but I did watch it last night - December 9,
2009 - as my Freejack 2009 showing. (Hey I didn't recieve it from Ebay until this December 7! Better late than never, uh?) I realized that I have only seen this flick like 3 times since it came out... once in the theatre and twice on pay-cable. But it was more fun seeing it in the time period that Freejack is supposed to take place in.. which is right now. These very days - the last few weeks and the end of 2009 - that we are living in right now. Believe me I had a blast comparing what the movie showed, and what we really have now!
Strange how I realized something while watching it. It said November 23, 2009 and that would've make it Thanksgiving Day that Furlong arrived into the future (remember, Thanksgiving Day rotates between November 22 and November 28), yet NOBODY was seen celebrating it with a turkey or ham (okay, maybe river rat)! The next day would have been Black Friday, yet NOBODY was shown shopping like a fiend! It also would have been the start of the Holiday Season, yet NOBODY was celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, or even Kwanza and there was NO Holiday stuff anywhere... not even a department store Santa!
Mmmm... weird!
