Do you think this would suit a remake?

Although I think this is considered a bit of a flop, the theme of disaster/rescue/time travel/cyber/tech seems quite interesting and if someone could write together a new version with a bigger and more solid concept overall, integrating with terrorism, I'd wanna see it!

Oh God. Well the movie is quite great. But it would suck as a remake.. Allthough.. A great part od its charm is Mick. Youd need to have him in it. But.. Well i just might work.

I wouldn't want to see it remade (in fact I wag my finger at you like Jagger just for bringing it up), and I doubt a remake could recreate the charm of this movie but I'm sure the story does seem ripe for the picking. None of the ideas in Freejack were really new as it was kind of a mish-mash of tried and true sci-fi plot devices. It would be pretty generic if it weren't for the Early 90's/Mick Jaggery/Estevezian goodness of it all. A serious/gritty/dark remake like we would probably see today would likely be boring and not very much fun.

I, also, liked everything they did inside the story. But, yeah, it didn't work as good as it should have. Can't put my finger on why, but maybe the sets budget, weak acting all around, and generic chase sequences.
Would be interesting to take the concepts and expand into a better overall plot and production.

I watched it for the second time since I last posted about it and thought again that it'd be a bit of a candidate for a remake in 2024 considering all the cyber / AI / tech element it has going.
