House Party was the bomb. Especially I and III. Can't go wrong with Robin Harris and Bernie Mac. Class Act was funny too, but that dude Popscicle was annoying.

I'd rather talk sh*+ than take $h!t

House party is the orginal and best, II was good but III was just a waste of time Class act is a great film but its house party all the way!

reply

I think Class Act is better! I love it!

While House Party is pretty much classic status, I've always preferred Class Act. Like someone mentioned, it's the type of movie I like. I enjoy switcheroo movies.

I watched this movie for the first in years, about two years ago. It's still goofy fun. I used to think it was better than the House Party sequels. I haven't seen the House Party movies in a long time.

The House Party movies are a different type of movie from Class Act so people who are more into a party/dance movie will like HP better and people who are more into the type of movie that CA was will like it better.
It's all good.

I like them both equally. They both got similar urban youth humors. The only difference is Class Act is goofy all the way through while House Party, while still goofy, did have a few serious moments.

Still, I grew up on both movies (at least Class Act and House Party 1 and 2) and they're still funny to me.

Also, I don't know why but I always feel like Class Act connects many comedies that I like (like Kid 'N Play from House Party, Karyn Parsons from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Thomas Mikal Ford from Martin) and they are all by Warner Bros.

Knawmean?!
