How did Lucy die?

I swear in the book she dies about 5 times D:

In the book, she's snatched from the jaws of death by exsanguination - multiple times - by Van Helsing's blood transfusions from the men who are in love with her. Dracula finishes her off by getting past the rather flimsy protections Van Helsing puts into place. (In the book, it is Lucy's mother who removes the garlic and opens the window since she believes Lucy needs fresh air and no one clued her in on Dracula. She was thought not to be able to tolerate the shock.)

She was in great pain, but then we drove a stake through her heart, cut off her head, and burned her.

Brienne: "Any last words?"
Stannis: "The siege begins at sunrise."
