Why hasn't Jonathan become a vampire himself?

The three brides bit him and sucked his blood, so how come he remained human?

reply

Because they didnt feed him their blood. He had to ingest vampire blood and something else that they mention.

Also, :::spoilers::::::

When just before van helsing cuts off Lucy's head she pukes blood in his face; the blood pours in helsings's open mouth as he tries to excercise her-it's clearly in his mouth...

Could argue that Van Helsing then destroyed Lucy... ending the vampire curse. Similar to how they had to destroy Dracula before Mina changed for good.

reply

He would also had to have died.

reply

In the book those bitten by the vampire became vampires, but not here.

reply

Seriously? After they make a huge deal of Mina having to drink Dracula's blood you don't understand why Jonathan didn't turn? He was also asked by Helsing "At any point did you get any of their blood in your mouth?" The answer should be clear.
