Funniest scene

Ryder running around with the silly little green hat bouncing around on her head always makes me laugh out loud. Her and Keanu's accents are also laughable.

"If I don't suit chu, you kin cut mah thoat!"

reply

Mina/Ryder trying to seduce Van Helsing/Hopkins. Cringe-worthy.

reply

Keanu talking about strange goings on and exclaims "I've seen many strange things already, bloody wolves chasing me through some blue inferno." The blue inferno part is quite dramatically overacted and in a horrendous British accent no less...classic Keanu. Don't u go changing K.R. we like your crappy acting just like it is. Bloody brilliant gov'nah.

reply

Crappy. You got that right. Why did he attempt an accent when it comes and goes throughout the movie. His acting is horrid. He always has that simple, foolish look on his face. I'm trying to think of something he was in that I liked. I can't think of any, not even Bill and Ted.

Did you ever work at Pizza Hut? No, but I ate there a lot.

reply

As poorly as he did and as badly this casting choice was I still like this film although it does make me laugh my ass off when I see him attempt to act British. All I see is Ted (of Bill and Ted) trying to sound like Lord Byron or something. Lol. But in all fairness I do enjoy some of Keanu's movies, although I'm not sure if it's in spite of him or not. I love "Point Break" and "The Matrix" was really good, and then he has some ok ones like "John Wick" and "Devil's Advocate" and of course "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure." I would say Keanu is kinda stuck in permanent "Ted Mode" and I'm not sure he'll ever escape...Bogus.

reply

I would much rather hear Robert Loggia speak French.

Did you ever work at Pizza Hut? No, but I ate there a lot.

reply

Or see John Wayne play Genghis Khan maybe? Lol. (see:"The Conquerer" 1956)

reply

Lucy's decapitated head flying through the air! Makes me howl with laughter every single time!

reply

French starts with F. F as in "Fred look, it's Robert Loggia."

reply

I think the dialog is "You never used to work for Pizza Hut." and then he responds with the "No, but I ate there a lot."

reply

I always thought that blue inferno was some sort of save point or fast travel portal.

reply

It was a quest marker.

Thit and thpin!

reply

The blue flames are explained in the book. Dracula says they appear sometimes everywhere where a treasure is hidden.

reply

Mina/Ryder trying to seduce Van Helsing/Hopkins. Cringe-worthy.

Why?

reply

'It is the man himself. Look he's grown young'. You're meant to be shocked and scared Keanu. Not pointing out an old acquaintance.

reply

'Byooodapest'.

reply

When Mina asked Van Helsing, "How did Lucy die, was she in great pain"? And Van Helsing says "Yeah she was in great pain, then we cut off her head and drove a stake through her heart and burned it, then she found peace". Then Jonathan yells "Doctor". I laugh at that part every time I watch this movie.

reply

Yeah that part is hilarious, but it is intentionally funny. There are other parts in the movie that are funny that aren't meant to be, mostly involving Keanu's ridiculous accent.

Una!

reply

The match cut from Lucys decapitated head to that roastbeef - I´d SO love to hear the audiences reaction in the cinema to that scene.

reply

Worked at a movie theater back when it came out. People did the gross out laugh basically. It was "Ew" followed by laughter.

reply

During dinner, Jonathan Harker says - "I was impotent with fear." Professor Van Helsing replies- "I know."

reply

"I know where the bastard sleeps, I brought him there to Carfax Abbey"

LOL that line was hilariously bad.

"I really wish Gia and Claire had became Tanner" - Honeybeefine

reply

"I know where the bastard sleeps, I brought him there to Carfax Abbey"

I love Kanu, but this.

He missed the mark once or twice as Jonathan Harker.

Carfax ABBEY!

So ****ing camp, Coppola should have demanded a redo.

Unless that was the redo...
