Gary Oldman: His best performance?

Is this Gary Oldman's best performance ever? Or is this the best Dracula performance?

State of Grace is.

He should have won an Oscar for this role .. I'm not a big fan of his , but he was spot on in this movie .

Although I do enjoy his work in it, in my view the impeccable Gary Oldman wasn't that brilliant here. Sure, he's as immerse as ever and shows more range than anybody else. But ultimately, I think he overdid it. He can be very compelling when he goes over the top, yes, but in this film it is like watching him in a parody at times.

Now that I'm taking off my fighting gloves, I will say this: his intense performance as Vlad Drac is... one of a kind.

Gary Oldman one of the most talented and versatile actor ever and offcourse the most underrated alongwith Billy Bob Thornton.

Solid performance, but best of all? I think not.

Gary Oldman is one of those rare actors who always elevates the film. I even liked him in The Unborn (sorry for that). He's like Christopher Walken that way...even a crappy movie is better with him around. As for his best role, it's too hard for me to say; he was brilliant in TTSS, but for me The Professional and The Fifth Element are my favorite Oldman roles.
