Is the movie really any good (fanboys please do not comment)

I just watched Frighteners and thought it was okay (not great). I was thinking of watching this movie but just wanted to know from anyone other than a Peter Jackson fanboy ("Oh...Peter Jackson just blew a beer and bean fueled fart in my face. I imagine that's what Heaven smells like.") if the movie is actually worth watching.

I friggin hate fanboys. Judge a movie by its own merit and not whose name is behind it you pea brained *beep*

At best it's ok. It's a comedy but I'd argue most of the time it's more irritating than funny, though if you're into over the top "fun" gore then the big ending finale is certainly worthwhile.
