Picked up the DVD... A little dissapointed.

I know it's not the best movie ever, nor the most important. But for god's sake, if you are going to release a movie that hasn't been on DVD since DVDs first came out, give it some bonus features. Maybe a commentary track by Faizon Love... He's not doing anything important, and you could gather up all the little "brats" who did the voices like Marques Houston. Maybe a documentary, biographies on the actors and Robin Harris. Maybe a documentary on Robin Harris, or some of his stand up acts that included the "Bebe's Kids" stuff.

Ok here's the deal, post the perfect Bebe's Kids DVD in this topic. Here's mine:

Bebe's Kids DVD
o Play Movie
(Option WS or FS)
-Widescreen
-Fullscreen
o Set Up
-Dolby Stereo 2.0
-Dolby Digital 5.1
-English
-Spanish

-Commentary by Faizon Love, Wayne Collins Jr, Jonell Green, Marques Houston, and Tone Loc
-Filmographies for Bebe's Kids and The Itsy Bitsy Spider

-Robin Harris: The Bebe's Kids Stand Up Acts
-The Making of Bebe's Kids
-The creation of the Bebe's Kids DVD (Considering this would be about the creation of this DVD and not the one that is out.)
o DVD Credits

Remember that is NOT a real DVD, that is my perfect Bebe's Kids DVD. Seriously I think they should of done a much better job on the DVD, even if it isn't the best movie it deserves a better transfer, audio and video wise, better special features (All it had was the Bonus Cartoon) and a better DVD all around. I'll start a petiton soon. Seriously, Robin Harris was a great comedian, why can't he get a better DVD?

They don't add anything to older movies, that cartoon isnt even a bonus, it was on the video i had when i was like 6. do people actually watch commentary stuff? i think its boring.

This film doesn't deserve a DVD release I mean that movie is from the guy who made The Proud Family and I bet this movie just gives the wrong idea how African Americans act.

If I can mix Code Lyoko, Marvel and DC together.

Have you seen it? Then don't judge. It is about some bad kids and bad parenting, its funny, but its message could apply to any race.

@Cryptfan2

I liked the film (only because I saw it again on the BOUNCE channel recently, years after having taken my little sister to see it while it played at the theatre-it wasn't a big hit, even though it was promoted fairly reasonably, probably because it wasn't your typical,feel-good kiddie cartoon flick) and that IS how some black folks act---hell, I know and have known people who act like some of the characters in this film---I mean, it was written, directed and produced by African-Americans,so of course the portrayal of black characters is much more realistic (and funnier) than you would normally see in an animated movie.. Plus, who the hell says every movie about African-Americans has to show us as only picture-perfect---we're flawed human beings like everyone on the planet,so nothing wrong with showing ourselves however we want to to be shown onscreen.

reply

I agree with all of that especially since they made a kind of bio on Robin Harris recently... they should revamp this whole thing.
