(The Courage to Kiss First) × 2
There are spoilers ahead, for those who have not seen every episode.
I am probably late to the party but... I just realized that "Met Someone" and "The Final Frontier: Part 2" depict a matching pair of kisses, as bookends to the romance of Paul and Jamie. The first kiss is in a flash-back and the final kiss is in a flash-forward so, chronologically, these are the first and last kisses of the story.
On both occasions, Jamie had "the courage to kiss first" as Mabel Buchman put it.
In the earlier episode (Season 1, Episode 11), Paul and Jamie have only just met. Paul turns away from Jamie to gaze out the window at the New York skyline. As he turns back towards her, she puts a hand on the side of his face and kisses him, quite emphatically.
"Did you just kiss me?" he asks.
"No." She whispers.
In the later episode (Season 7, Episode 22), Paul and Jamie have been estranged but meet at a screening of a film by their daughter. Paul turns away from Jamie and seems to look for something that fell to the floor. As he turns back towards her, she puts a hand on the side of his face and kisses him, quite emphatically.
"Did you just kiss me?"
"No."
They lived happily ever after.
