what network does the fictional show air?

I'm on my second go around of this classic tv show. I dont remember during my last viewing if they mentioned what network they were supposed to be on. so far I'm half way through the first season and they eliminated cbs, abc, fox and nbc. If i missed it can someone tell me for my piece of mind while i continue watching.

reply

I'm pretty sure they deliberately left it unsaid. It's always just referred to as "the network" as I recall.

drnutkin nailed in right on the head. It's never mentioned, fictional or real. Just ambiguous.

reply

I deduced that it's ABC. All other networks were ridiculed and there was the ep where they said something about this "Disney" thing. Disney bought ABC in 1995.

reply

Not ABC, they referred to Nightline once as being on ABC, not their network. Larry's network was a fictional 4th network, like in the movie Network.

reply

Very well then.

reply

4th? Fox, CBS, ABC, NBC.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

reply

Fictional - they mentioned CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox as "other networks"

reply

Maybe they were supposed to be on the CW.
