I loved the TV show, But I'm sure you guys are also fans of the film series as well or some of them at least lol

What do you think of reboot to the classic 80's film?

I'm wondering whether it will happen, and whether I want it to happen. They have been talking about a Highlander reboot for three years or more. It definitely stirred up some interest on the Highlander imdb board:

Since, I'm a big Highlander fan, I'd like to see a new good Highlander movie. But, they have so much trouble getting it right. The original movie has a permanent place on my favorite movies list. And Highlander the series has that same place on my list of favorite tv shows, but all the rest, each of the movies were a little bit worse than the one that came before, except for Highlander Endgame and Highlander the Source.

I think Highlander Endgame was good and could have easily been a lot better, but for the studio's ? producer's ? apparent efforts to sabotage it. the overall production values of the film were poor. It was rushed and poorly edited. But even with all that there was a good story (except for the bits about fighting on holy ground, Kate's thinking that she could have had children had Duncan not triggered her immortality....). I liked the bit of story that we saw with Connor and his mother. His efforts to save her. Her refusal to denounce him. Connor and Duncan as teacher and student, seeing Heather and Rachel again. The story also had some good lines, Duncan's "our bonds are all that hold us in this world," as he pleaded with Connor to not make him break their bond. Obviously, I could go on and on about Highlander Endgame. It did have a lot of good stuff. From looking at different versions of the movie, its clear that it could have had more had it been edited better. The other great thing about this movie was all the interaction between the fandom and the cast and crew while we waited for the movie to be released, and the leaked movie info. In 2000, the Rysher Highlander board was still up and we got messages about chats with Adrian Paul, Christopher Lambert and others. And in terms of leaked movie info, that included someone actually posting a link to the movie script.

I also single out Highlander the Source from the list of the movies that were a little bit worse than the one that came before. The source was a lot worse than the movie that came before. The source was pure unadulterated crap, not worthy of the highlander name. It more than anything makes me wary of the reboot. We definitely do not want it to be worse than the source and there are so very many things that can go wrong. At least with the old movies we could count on Christopher Lambert playing Connor, or AP playing Duncan. Both are too old (especially CL) to play those roles and since we are talking reboot that isn't the intent anyway, but really, who could do justice to the roles of Connor, Ramirez and the Kurgan? And, where could they ever find another Queen with princes of the universe and dust in the wind....It just seems very unlikely to me that they can do a reboot that could favorably compare with the 1986 original.

They've been talking about a Highlander reboot for years I hope one finally happens, I also hope they add a little bit of Duncans personality to Connor have the guy smile and have a bit of fun don't mope all the time!

Yea that would be good to a little bit of Duncan's personality in this new one, But also have his own spin on Connor

I also wouldn't mind seeing another TV show of another Highlander from the Macleod Clan :-)

Connor did smile every now and then, He wasn't always so moaning
