Batman: TAS defined the Caped Crusader for a whole generation. Its influence can be seen throughout in practically every incarnation that followed.

Actually this series looks like it was based on the 89 Tim burton movie.

It was heavily inspired by that. Bruce Timm even visited the set of Batman Returns.
