Joker was Jack Napier

There was an episode in the first season (I think) where Batman is in Arkham Asylum and the Joker is referred to as Jack Napier. I really like how the show in many ways how the Burton movies inspired the animated series.

The theme is taken straight from the 1st movie with Michael Keaton. If you think about it this cartoon was more adult orientated than the show from the 60's.

Well, without the Burton movies this series wouldn't exist. It was those movies that brought Batman back, and in the right way at the right time.

Actually in the episode Joker's wild from season 2 there's a file Batman reads on the Joker and it says his name is Jack Napier in the file. Though he really doesn't look like Jack Nicholson does he?

Michael Keaton said if Burton directed another Batman movie, he wouldn't hesitate to be Bruce Wayne again. Probably would not happen but that idea is good.

The animators had to leave a couple of nods to the Burton movies as it was part of their contract when they were finally given the go-ahead to produce it.
