Some silly things
Which things in the series made you scratch your head because of how silly or illogical (or both) they were?
In the episode "Catwalk" The Ventriloquist uses both hands to move Scarface's hands around. Here's the problem, while he's doing that Scareface is talking, his jaw is very clearly moving.
How can he do that? Was Ventriloquist controlling the mouth movements with his crotch (Scareface was sitting in his lap during that part )?
I thought the whole "Batman is in Arkham Asylum as a patient" part in "Dreams in Darkness" episode was really reaching it. I thought it was one of Scarecrow's hallucinations because it was so surreal and illogical.
OK, the doctors brings Batman in a straight jacket in the asylum and put him inside one of the cells. One of the doctors doesn't want to remove his mask because he thinks Batman is insane and that removing the mask would destroy the illusion he built in his twisted mind (if I remember correctly).
Wouldn't they alert the police that they have Batman inside the Arkham Asylum? Completely tied up even?
I also don't buy it that they wouldn't remove his mask. That's something other people try to do almost all the time when they have a chance to (some villains did make an exception for various reasons). Why would they act the way they do and think Batman is that insane? I mean, I'm sure they have reasons to believe that a man who dresses as a bat isn't 100% normal but they probably saw or heard how he cooperates with the police, catches criminals etc. Surely if they found him next to a crashed car and in state of fright they'd think something was wrong.
I don't know, I always thought that whole part was just bad writing and that the suspension of disbelief was completely destroyed.
It really would make more sense if that whole part was just a hallucination.
