Am I the only one....

Who thinks this is just as much as an adult oriented show as much as it is for kids? Sure it's goofy and cheesy at times, but this show can also get as dark and heavy as Nolan's trilogy at times almost. It has very mature and dark themes for a kids show but it's well written with great visuals. Easily my favorite Batman series.

Yes. You are the only one out of millions of fans for over twenty years to have ever felt this way.

Fair enough

This was a kid's show with substance. Something shows like Phineas and Ferb severely lack. Only the more reason I enjoy Batman TAS as an adult.

It's a combination of superb storytelling, dark atmosphere with a good hint of wit mixed in. I almost wouldn't call it a children's show but more of a true Batman's fan show.

even as a kid i saw it as being a cartoon for the big kids. it originally aired in prime time. i revisited the series back in 2007. i loved it. i was hooked on it again. the dramatic moments felt more dramatic. the characters were very engaging.
the humor was very fun and didn't come off as campy.

Yes, there's definitely plenty there for both audiences.

It's honestly more mature than ANY of the films.
