NOBODY knew?!
How did none of the villains(or even Commissioner Gordon)not know who Batman really was? I mean, Bruce Wayne was the wealthiest man in Gotham City, he experienced tragedy when he was a kid, nobody put 2 and 2 together?!

shareActually Ras al Ghul matter of factly walked into the Batcave stating he knew and Talia found out earlier.
Id like to think Gordon probably knows, but since he respects Batman's work, he doenst want to jeopardize Batmans or be forced to hunt him down.
One of my fav eps. But my thing is, he's been around for how many centuries, and he's the only one? And how often does he deal with Batman? Not as often as say Riddler,Joker,Poison Ivy.
shareIn one of the Frank Miller treatments, it's implied that Gordon knows. and then, yeah. what you said.
shareWell, would you imagine Donald Trump being a super hero running around fighting crime?
Can't stop the signal.
Trump has been openly committing a crime in front of us for years. It's his hair. Maybe it's more of a sin than a crime. Yes, I do believe it's his own hair. I figure with all his billions, he wouldn't pay money for that thing. Go out and buy the Shatner turbo-2000. Now that's a decent hairpiece.
Whom the Gods destroy, they first made mad.
I would've thought for sure Two Face had an idea, at least. Harvey Dent and Bruce Wayne were great friends before Dent's accident. Killer Croc. Poison Ivy, even Joker(who's arguable his greatest foe)didn't know. You think it was denial.
shareJoker would barely have any idea Bruce Wayne exists. He also doesn't really care about Batman's identity.
shareI don't think his current job would allow much time for that.
shareHugo Strange had found out. And then auctioned that information to Joker, Penguin and Two-Face.
And near the end of the episode, Strange outright told them who Batman was and Two-Face didn't believe him.
Its amazing how people hang around message boards of movies they dont like
I always thought it was more strange that those at the Daily Planet didn't know Clark Kent was Superman.
shareDr Strange found out by accident though. He wasn't looking for any knowledge of who Batman was.
sharei wouldnt have matched up the two. the personalities are very different. unless you knew the real Bruce..the one with the deep voice, you most likely wouldnt think of him as being the one out at night taking on bad guys.
shareConroy was masterful at that - both his voices were pitch perfect. Bruce was lighter and casual while Batman's was dark and grim.
Fit both perfectly.

I've wondered that, too, especially since Alfred drives Batman around during "The Clock King" (partly, anyway), and no one puts 2 & 2 together that Alfred is also Bruce Wayne's butler, so Bruce Wayne must be Batman? Ah, suspension of disbelief...

Hmm so Bruce Wayne is really rich and his parents died as a child. I know, he must be Batman!
None of that would mean anything. There's plenty of rich people in Gotham and Batman doesn't go around openly complaining about his tragic life, he barely speaks to anyone.
Nor would that explain why he dresses as a bat.
Over the edge also implies that Gordon knew..including the fact that his daughter is Batgirl..
