What are your opinions on Neil Diamond since Bob Wiley couldn't stand him?

I liked a lot of his early hits from the 60's/early 70's but he became hit and miss for me afterwards, he did have one great song in the 80's w/"America".

I have never listened to him. I'm mainly into country.

I like Neil Diamond. Mainly because he makes me think of movies like Ted, Here Comes the Boom and Saving Silverman.
