If they were not at the steel mill at the end, how would the T-800 terminated itself after completing its mission? I know it can't self terminate so how would it have had Sarah and John destroy it? It would have to make sure they completely destroy it so parts of it are not found like in the first movie.

Well, the chip can be destroyed easily enough with a few blows from a hammer. I guess the T-800 could be taken to a car wreckers yard and squashed into a little cube. (With one hand stuck out the side with a thumbs up?) Maybe the cube could then be dumped at sea.
Taking the T-800 to another hydraulic press at another factory might cause Sarah to have flashbacks.
Well yeah all they would have had to do was take out his CPU and destroy it... then i don't know what they would have done with his body since he's too heavy for them to lift
