Why did they waste so much ammo?


They wasted so many bullets shooting the T-1000 for no reason. The bullets did nothing to him except maybe make him stumble. Even when shot point blank in the face with a shotgun it does nothing to him.

It was key that they slowed him down. (Barely.) He would never have fallen in the molten metal otherwise. If they didn't slow him down a little then the T-1000 would have won, you idiot.

So what would YOU have done? Allowed it to come after you? Remember, when dealing with a death scenario, every second counts. Every shot that slowed the T-1000 down is a chance at life in order to figure out your next move.

They knew it wouldn't kill the T-1000, or even damage him. But it would at least buy them time to escape for their next move.
