I wonder what would it be like if this was made into a tv series?

I dreamnt that it was made into a tv series, and it had William Levy playing the sort of Walter character. Maybe later on when the gal (Who was a guy) becomes more and more as a woman and when her inner spirty (the dead man) goes to Heaven, the woman is an empty shell but is able to be a love for the best friend and father of the baby she had.

A couple months ago I found a tv series almost like this movie from some other country.I cant remember the name of it,but Ive been trying to track it down.

It went something like the main guy was selfish and treated women bad,he didnt die but his ex girlfriend put a curse on him and he woke up as woman one day and pretended to be his female cousin who didnt exist and live like that. Then I think another guy fell for him but he didnt tell him he was a guy before and something about he had to be in love to break the curse and go back to normal.

I am going to start tracking it down too. I would have watched that if it was redone for this modern times.

The TV series was probably an Argentine series called Lalola. It's been remade by 12 other countries: 3 different Spanish versions (from Chile, Peru and Spain), Portuguese (that was Ele é Ela as already referred to in this thread), Russian, Belgian (Flemish), Greek, Turkish, Indian, Filipino (Tagalog), Vietnamese and Indonesian.

Some of these have run over 200 episodes and most of the rest over 100. Even though they all have the same starting premise, a lot of them go in very different directions by the end. As of yet, even though it's been made 13 times so far, believe it or not, there's still yet to be an English language version (possibly the closest is a Fox pilot called Eva Adams that never got picked up).

There's also a Thai series called Pimmala which seems like they sat down with an IP lawyer and changed just enough of the concept to avoid having to licence the original from Argentina.

Finally, there's the Indian movie "Mr Ya Miss" which is blatantly copied from Switch even if they didn't credit it except they changed the ending to arguably better one that made more sense in a real world setting (and taught the protagonist a lesson without such drastic consequences) so credit for that I guess.
