Best MEMORABLE QUOTE of all

-- This quote wasn't in the memorable quotes so I took a few minutes & submitted it to IMDb as an addition. It is probably the best quote of the entire movie because of one thing.

(RE: the baby growing inside of her)
• 01:32:55: Ellen Barkin(as Amanda Brooks): "And it's growing, Walter. It's moving."
• 01:33:00: Ellen Barkin(as Amanda Brooks): "It lives because I live."
• 01:33:05: Ellen Barkin(as Amanda Brooks): "And when I die..."
• 01:33:08: Ellen Barkin(as Amanda Brooks): "there's a part of me that..."
• 01:33:12: Ellen Barkin(as Amanda Brooks): "goes on."

-- It reminds people that when a woman is pregnant it's a growing & living being inside of her that ONLY LIVES BECAUSE OF HER -- BECAUSE SHE LIVES. If she didn't live, then that life could not & would not have a chance to exist, ever.
-- This touches on a point for those who wrongly believe that abortion is okay. It touches so perfectly on the ONE REASON why a human being is being GIVEN THE RIGHT TO LIVE inside of you. It's absolutely perfect. Being that this movie emerged just after the 80s, it is understandable why the directors, actors, & script writers didn't dare head further in the direction of abortion, as the movie would sink further into criticism.
-- As weird and bizarre as this movie was, that quote was truly a redeeming part. All this said, I truly hope people think deeper about & REMEMBER that one line that Ellen seemed to so PURPOSEFULLY state:

"It lives because I live."

I loved this film, but I have always been, and will forever be, PRO-CHOICE.

You are a fool. Yes, it's a very touching line she uttered. But, Amanda clearly WANTED her baby, even knowing she might die.

Unfortunately, there are thousands of women every year who ACCIDENTALLY become pregnant. If a woman feels she can not keep and raise a child, or, carry one for nine months and then give it up for adoption, NO *beep* PERSON has the right to tell her what to do with HER OWN BODY.

IT'S THE LAW OF THE LAND, IT'S CALLED ROE V. WADE, AND IT WAS DECIDED MORE THAN 40 YEARS AGO.
