Could the assassins have used the transporters...

...to dispose of the suits and boots once they got back to the Enterprise? Simply beam them into distant space or over to the Dakron or some quiet spot on Kronos One or even just beam them out of existence and then wipe the transporter logs later on like Valeris did with the torpedo logs?

I'm not sure. I'm just speculating.

Yep. This movie, despite being an enjoyable movie, has some stupid writing.

If only the plot was a bit more decent, it would be on par with ST 2 (the 1982 version, not the stupid JJ movie).

I'm just on my way up to Clavius.

To be fair if you're going to pick on the writing in this movie then you have to acknowledge that throughout the various incarnations of Star Trek transporter technology is probably the most inconsistent aspect of the ST universe. You can be beamed with or without a pad, with or without a comm signal etc. It's unfair to judge just this movie.

Hey! You're not old enough to drink! Now go and die for your country!!!
