Romulan?

Why is there a romulan in the federation presidents office? What's the relationship between the romulans and federation during the time period of this film?

It's been a while since I saw this, so he could be a vulcan. But I'm pretty sure he's romulan.

The one guy was Romulan. He and the Klingon ambassador and Sarek representing Vulcan were all there. It's not that uncommon for countries today to have at least a representative of a foreign government present even if the overall relationship is not altogether friendly. The Klingon ambassador was present in movie 4 too, remember.

Why do you find it weird for there to be a Romulan Ambassador there, but it is ok to have a Klingon and Vulcan ambassador there? I am sure the Romulans would have an interest in what is happening with a possible peace treaty between the Klingon Empire and the Federation.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

After all! Nixon went to China. It's not unusual as the other posters said.

We have to show the world that not all of us are like him: Henning von Tresckow.
