Literate villains

I loved it when Kahn quoted Melville in WOK, but Chang's Shakespeare fetish in STVI was over the top and really annoying. I think most people can get away with dropping the occasional line here or there if the time is right, but every five minutes starts to sound really pretentious.

I think the film - makers know and the characters agree - "I'd give real money if he'd shut up!"

I bet the fans would have contributed a lot of money as well. In fact when Christopher Plummer died, the audience (myself) cheered like crazy!
