Silence of the Lambs or Seven

Which do you think is better?

reply

Both are great films, but Silence of the Lambs is the better acted, directed, and written in my opinion. I would put Seven at a 9/10 and SOTL at a rare 10/10.

reply

I really like both movies but I like Silence a bit more because of Hopkins' Lector. Super creepy!

Seven is better. You wanna know why?

Silence of the Lambs was going good right up until ending. Hannibal Lector's escape was completely unrealistic and unbelievable. Suddenly Dr. Lector becomes superhuman and he manages to overpower and kill some dim witted cops, he then physically arranges their bodies in high and awkward areas. Then some other doofus cops and dumb paramedics don't realize that Hannibal cut off a dead cop's face and placed it on his own face to hide his identity. Lector fools everyone, he ends up unnoticed and unharmed on an ambulance. He conveniently escapes. So dumb. Completely ruined the ending of the movie. This is why Seven is the better movie out of the two. Seven is more realistic and believable.

Agree.

Lol, as opposed to a serial killer running around a city doing whatever he pleases with no real attempts to hunt him down other than two amateur detectives. Realistic my ass.

Two classic thrillers, but I'd go with Silence if I had to pick one.

I would have to go with Lambs in the end, because of its end; it’s happy-ish...the ending of Se7en is such a DOWNER.

But objectively, I might have to go with 7. I like the cinematography better, and the surprise with Spacy is great. And Lambs is kind of hokey, with Fosters accent, and Lector, and Buffalo Bill. Then again, it’s a movie and those things work in a good way. One could say the cinematography of 7 and Pitt’s acting was goofy too.

I kinda still like to watch Silence of the Lambs.. Se7en I wouldn't watch again.

It goes down to who is better Hopkins Vs Spacey.
I think it’s an easy answer.
