I have never seen this
is it worth it ?
shareYes.
shareI saw it first as a child so it's always possible my critical faculties are clouded by nostalgia, but I consider it one of the few truly stellar period action-adventures out there.
It's innocent and thrilling, full of strong drama, heartfelt emotion and some great set-pieces, plus one of the funniest, most entertaining villains in all of cinema.
It features a tremendous, rousing score too, Kamen's best work by far.
It's hit and miss. There are some very cool moments, and there are some cringe-worthy parts.
shareDo you like Robin Hood? Cause if all you're into is Nascar you're gonna hate it.

It's a fun movie, if you're in an undemanding mood.
The pluses are plenty of action and laughs, some clever stuff, good supporting actors, and Alan Rickman being hilarious.
The minuses are... the two leads, Costner and Whatshername who plays Marion. That's a pretty big flaw, but one it's possible to overlook in the right mood.
