Will Patton

I think Will Patton gave a tremendously sensitive performance as Deputy Foster. He is a terrific actor who doesn't get the credit he deserves. Often, his small characters are the highlight of his films (though I think almost everyone was good here).

I was thinking the very same thing. I caught this movie yesterday and his performance really stood out to me.

While it is true that he does not get the credit for being as talented an actor as he is, i can't help but wonder if he might not be happy that way. The industry obviously sees his talent, in that he is a steady working actor. While he might not enjoy the obscene paychecks that other 'A-List' actors do, he can live a relatively quiet life without paparazzi. Perhaps the trade-off is worth it?

I think you're right. Will doesn't seem to have any "star" attitude or aspirations, and that makes him more appealing in my book. He's content to give strong supporting performances and disappear into whatever his normal life is. That's a sign of a great actor.

Here's another sign: He actually makes me watch Kevin Costner films, because he's so good in them!

There are a lot of great character actors like that -- he's definitely quality.
