Who was the boy?
I just watched the second half of the film. Who did the boy in the organization represent? Was he a prophet or a leader in the organizaton? And what does a fundamentalist believe in?

I just wanted to let you know that in this dispensation (period of time) of Grace (also called the church age) that we are in now, that there is no longer the gift of prophets. That gift ended in the old testament with the prophet Malachi. The ONLY prophets that are around today are false prophets, just as my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ predicted there would be in Matthew 24:11.
We are in the birth pangs of the end times (Matthew 7:15, 24:3-14, 23-24) and that is great news because that means that Christ is coming back soon. We don't know the day or the hour, only God the Father knows that, but Christ is coming back soon for those who believe in Him and that news is both comforting and exciting!
This movie did not at all portray the truth about God or about His free gift of salvation that He offers everyone who has faith alone in His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ alone (Acts 16-31).
This movie actually portrayed lies that the enemy (satan) would want you to believe about God and His free gift of salvation (Rev 20:10)

I don't really believe that prophets still exist as they once did, but why are there some that had/have visions, or claimed they have? If these ones didn't see a "vision", what do you think they saw?
Sorry greenacres_sunny that it took me so long to get back to you. I think these false prophets get their visions from satan and the kingdom of darkness. Prophets ceased with the completion of the canon of scripture (The Word of God), so these false prophets, sent by satan (the god of this world)are a prelude to the antichrist and this is great news because Christ told us Himself to look out for false prophets just prior to His Second Coming at the end of the age(Matthew 24:5),"For many will come in My Name, saying, I am the Christ, and will mislead many. And Matthew 24:11 says, And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many. And we are definetly in the birth pains of the end times because the Bible also talks about how in the end times there will be wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6). Famines are also talked about in Matthew 24:7. Earthquakes (Matthew 24:7),and that Christians would suffer many tribulations around the world as they do today (Matthew 24:8-9). I share this with you because the fact that all these things are definetly happening today is very great and wonderful news because it means that The Lord Jesus Christ will be coming back soon. Nobody except God the Father Himself knows the exact day or hour, but make no mistake, Christ is coming back soon.
Apparently, these false prophets are now being portrayed in the movies as well; at least this movie. Again, this entire movie is a lie from satan because it absolutely does not portray the truth about God and His Grace, His Character or His Nature and about His free gift of salvation that He offers through His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. The only way that you can get into Heaven and spend eternity with God is believing in The Lord Jesus Christ (He is called Lord because of His deity and equality with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit) and have faith alone in Christ alone and that is it. There is no other way.
Caschlegel, what about people who have the ability to perform exorcisms, or those that can move things with mind power, without touching the object that's being moved? I think that's called telekinesis. I believe that your mind alone can't move things, but that something supernatural is behind it.

The beast in Rev 20:10 is the dictator of the revived Roman empire in the last half of the Tribulation.
As far as exorcism and telekenesis, there is no record in the Bible of God giving either power to any believer in the Church Age. We are to resist the devil/satan, not rebuke him or exorcise him.
We are told that in the last days particularly, the kingdom of darkness will deceive people using signs and wonders.(Matt 24:24, Mark 13:22, 2 Thess 2:9).
God did give the supernatural ability to perform signs and wonders to the APOSTLES. There was a good reason for that. It was to authenticate their message. But we no longer have apostles bring forth new revelation, so there is no need for signs and wonders.
So 12 years later, are you still expecting The Rapture?
