Insanity of Cults

I met Mimi Rogers and spoke in length with her about this movie and according to her and her writer-director (Tolkan) the idea is that her beliefs lead to her insanity.

It is definately anti-Cult. Anti-indoctrination.

What few people realize is that Christianity has divided itself into 39,000 denominations of warring factions; each believing it's own faction to be the "winning team" that has successfully interpreted Scripture and has all the answers.

This is pure insanity.

Most Christian religions are in fact CULTS, created to make money off the weak and ignorant by indoctrinating them through methodical NLP (Neural linguistic programming) and other forms of very real and very genuine hypnosis and repetitious brain-washing techniques.

Most of the leaders of these cults are to in fact brain-washed so the source does not begin with them.

That said if most people actually understood Scripture as it is written (not translated) there would probably be no need for any organized religions whatsoever, thus a multi-billion dollar business would go out of work.

Being that you spoke with her, are you saying that in the end she was simply insane and everything we saw was just her imagination? Or did she actually experience what we saw? I always interpreted the ending as actually happening. I felt she did kill her daughter and then hated her god after she realized her god allowed her to commit such a horrible act while then asking her to love him/her so she could live with her god forever. I am agnostic so I am not claiming the rapture to be a real event that will take place. I am just interpreting the film as I saw it. It always fascinated me how her killing her daughter was similar to Abraham taking his son out to kill him because his god told him to do so.

MOST Christian religions are cults?

I thought ALL religions were cults.

A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.

Or are we saying a cult has to be smaller in numbers and once it gets to
a million people we cant call it a cult anymore?

Resurrected bodies, wearing jewelry designed to looked like an executed man,
drink the blood, eat the flesh, sounds pretty cult-ish to me.

Never mind, you say stuff like this and then cult members try to
make sense of it all to you.

Pffft, my suspension of disbelief has higher standards than that.

Yup, even with the translations of scripture - it's pretty clear that Christianity was supposed to free people - but organized religion enslaves - it's too bad Christianity is so badly misunderstood because as violent as it seems, it ends in trying to make people able to stand on their own and be strong without governments, without religions, without tribes etc.

Christianity is supposed to allow people to truly become individuals without becoming sociopaths (which is the way of extreme individuality without morality).
