I think it was a bad idea for Universal Studios Florida to take down the Bates Motel and house location used for this movie. I think it was an extremely worse idea to put in its place a "Barney: The Dinosaur" stage show.
shareI agree with you all the way. Taking it down was horrible idea...but didn't they put hotels over that area? The one on the hill right? I don't think they placed the stage show over there. If they did...that is the worst idea ever!

I remember going to USF and being outside the Barney show (I was like 6) and seeing the 'Psycho' house on the hill . . It was scary, and I hadn't even seen the movie yet . . did they really tear it down? I haven't been back there since then, and they totally redid everything out there . . so yeah. It was *awesome* to see that house up there on that hill.

i dont think they torw it down well atleast not for this movie or whatever because when they remade the first psycho in 1998 they made an outer shell of a newer looking house to put around the original BATES house to bring it "up to date"
