Nothing makes sense in this movie

There are too many goofs and errors in this movie.

Norman says his father died when he was 6, in the original he told Marion he was 5

In this movie, Norman and his mother were running the motel long before that guy Chet came around, in the first movie, Norman says Chet talked Norma into running it.

In the original, they said to create the allusion Norma was alive, Norman would dress in her clothes, wear a replica wig, talk in her voice, etc. He wears an old lady's gray wig and wears old lady dresses, which tells us she was an old woman when she died. In this movie, she's a young pain with red hair when she dies.

Norman was dead set against Connie getting pregnant, so why didn't he get a vasectomy instead of her being on birth control?

Another thing that doesn't make sense to me, yes, in the original movie they said a weighted coffin was buried, in this movie we see he fills it with books, wouldn't books rattle and make someone suspicious about why a corpse was making so much noise when the pallbearers moved it? I doubt he had enough books and time to line them all up in tight rows that wouldn't move.
