i wish somehow theyd have been able to show more of normans victims appear at the end, i mean its obviosuly all in his mind where he sees them, but it would have been great to see marion, arbogast, duke, maureen etc etc god knows how youd have done it, maybe not even had the actors or clips, just "suggest" the characters, eg have norman walking past a showe curtain with someone behind (obviously marion) then show someone falling down the stairs backwards (arbogast, as he falls on the movie, if normans now behind then we wouldnt see his face) then norman could trip over a guitar and we could hear "watch the guitar" its just a bit corny that after 3 films, norman only remembers the victims from psycho 4 which fair enough are the first ones he killed, but the longest ago. i think the psychos are one of the greatest horror series ever, a more rounded end would have been cool!

Great idea! I surely prefer your idea for the ghosts during the fire in the house rather the ghosts used (the ones of his mother, the lover and the two victims). And I would get a kick of laughter seeing Norman tripping over a guitar and then the "Watch the guitar!"...oh man!

P.S. Can't believe no one replied to this for 2 years! It's an awesome post!

That would be cool but Psycho 4 really ignores the sequel's it's more like a sequel to the first movie, because at the end of Psycho 3 the sheriff tells Norman they'l never let you out again. It just would'nt make sense for them to just release Norman again after he went crazy when they first released him, s thats why im thinking this is a sequel to the first film.

It doesn't ignore the sequels, 'cause remember Norman mentions "My last murder four years ago." Psycho 3 was in 1986 and this one was in 1990. His wife probably helped him get out.

I thought that too, as it would have seemed more final, but it makes sense that he "sees" the ones he does as that's what's been on his mind all night.
