If you ask me, PSYCHO III was great. And it really doesn't make any sense going from PSYCHO II to PSYCHO IV.
sharei have to agree psycho 3 was great, its the closest to hitchcocks original, only someone whod worked so closely could have done such a film, perkins carries on what hitchcock started, i personally wish psycho 2 never happened its so unimaganative compared to 1, 3 and 4. you should rewatch psycho 3 its a pure insight into normans mind and its got great surreal touches and nods to hitch, i cant beleive if you liked part 1 youd hate part 3, i see 3 as the direct sequel. but part 4 is a good film as wll
shareI partially agree with you dougy-mcintosh. Although i think Psycho II is the best sequel but i also love III because i does have thoses Hitchcock elements init, and Psycho IV is just so original its fantastic.
sharei suppose i see psycho 2 as a fish out of water, i mean on parts 1 , 3 and 4 norman is doing the mother thing, where as on part 2 hes actually the victim and we dont have the proper norman weve come to expect, he only loses the plot at the end. i suppose ye part 2 is a good film, but i mean hitchocks films were never as routine, i thought it was a missed opportunity to be as devilish as the first one, but 3 and 4 make up for it! think ill watch part 2 tonight and see if i like it more, i know i always liked meg tilly :-)
