Why wasn't Mother making Norman his Toasted Cheese Sandwiches!!??

Weren't they paying attention?

The Wookie has no pants.

Didn't he say in Psycho II that she made them for him when he was sick. I don't remember him being ill (other than mentally) in the fourth.

reply

Yes, he had a long monologue in "Psycho 2" about how his mother used to make him toasted cheese sandwiches (boo hoo!).

Chaos, Confusion, Insanity: My work here is done.

I was reminded of the toasted cheese sandwiches during the cooking scene as well. Of course, his mother was more interested in pleasing her boyfriend than her son at that point.

Yeah. Biiiiiiig Mistake! You don't want to go pissing off Norman, OR his mother!

"I have to pee"
"There'll be plenty of time to pee in Heaven"
"There's peeing in Heaven?"

It's not like she was a toasted cheese sandwich making machine. I didn't go in expecting two hours of cheese sandwiches. I'm sure she made them for Norman but the plot of Psycho 4 didn't call for them since it was about how she drove Norman crazy. The only way they could have worked them into the movie was if it was the damned sandwiches that drove him crazy. "Mother! Oh God, mother! Cheese! CHEESE!"

Hey, makes sense to me. People have killed over soggy french fries. That could be the title of Psycho V: Return of the Cheese!

"We got a job"
"What kind?"
"The Forever Kind"

There is a scene where the six year old Norman is on a picnic with his mother. Maybe the toasted cheese sandwiches were in the picnic basket.

In reality the writer didn't care about the other sequels which sucks, because part II is awesome.

I just couldn't believe Olivia Hussey as Mrs Bates.

Stacy - "We got a job"
Uncle John - "What kind?"
Stacy - "The Forever Kind..."

She made him the toasted cheese sandwiches before she started to hate him and I think the hate started after his fathers death.
