One issue I had with the film

The house was painted yellow, instead of black or grey. In the first three films, it's clearly grey or black, but in this film, it's yellow. That really messes with the continuity of the series. In the flashbacks to the 1940s and 1950s, it would make sense for the house to still be white, but in the present day of the early 90s, as well as the early 80s from the 2nd and 3rd films, it should've stayed it's black/grey color and only have been white in the 40s and 50s flashbacks. At least they got the color and exterior of the motel right in both the flashbacks and present day to match the way it looked in the first three films. I also like how the changed the grass around the house and motel from natural green to dead brown between the 40s/50s flashbacks to the present.

Oh no! The house was painted a different color! That's it! The movie's ruined!

WTF are you talking about? The first movie was in black & white! How the hell would you be able to tell what color it was?

reply

You could tell since the house was either black or grey.

You do understand how black and white movies work right? They're shown in shades of grey. As such you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between grey, yellow, blue or any other color other than possibly white or black.
