Yea and have you also noticed that Christian Bale as Batman is nothing like Adam West as Batman?? West doesn't even growl when he talks. WTF!?

The Vera Farmiga Norma is nothing like the original mother. The original mother is supposed to be condescending, mean, rude and constantly belittled Norman to the point where he killed her and then kept her rotting corpse so he could belittle her. She is much creepier than the BATES MOTEL Norma.

I haven't seen the Bates Motel series yet but I know the original novel Psycho was loosely based on the story of Ed Gein. She despised her husband for being an alcoholic who couldn't hold a job, and constantly preached to her children that all women were evil whores and that the world was a filthy, immoral place ruled by the devil. She also let them have very little contact with the outside world and Ed was attached to her even after her death. So if we're talking about the true story than the mother in this film wasn't too far away from what Ed Gein's mom really was.
