Why why WHY?

Why is it that the video tapes leave out footage we see in the TV version? Like where Annie gets the phonecall Trixie stole a man's car and hit him with it, and when Junior and Trixie disappear and Ben's hanging up with Annie and he trips over Big Ben who's got a sock in his mouth. Little things like that, WHY oh WHY did they have to cut them out from the videotape? And why is it the DVDs don't have ALL the footage either? I HATE it when they butcher them every which way, they need to re release it on DVD and have ALL the footage in it, anybody agree?

reply

Yes, I most certainly agree.

me, too!

Well I think is that the tv version cut's out a lot of stuff and they add the cleaner stuff to make up for it.

The first movie also has scenes on the theatrical version that aren't seen on the TV version. And vice versa.

Its amazing how people hang around message boards of movies they dont like

reply

Either they need to release a DVD including all the TV footage, or AMC needs to pick it up because they do the same with Jaws, show the footage you NEVER see on video, so let's have that again with the Problem Child movies too!

Hopefully a bluray release will spark some better bonus features than the DVD. It would be nice to have both the TV and theatrical versions to choose from, not to mention any other deleted scenes, even a commentary track would be interesting. There is plenty of those on the set featurettes filmed during the movie too... hopefully some day these films will get released with some effort put into them.
