'Richie' Forsythe

Anyone who knows and likes Out For Justice is aware William Forsythe gives a killer performance as Richie, but he has created what has to be one of the most underated lead villains in an action film. Richie is just plain junkyard mean and crazy, and Forsythe makes it authentic. Richie has no lofty goals other than to make money and kill folk. No sentimental back story on how he was forced into a life of crime, just "ever since he started doing all those drugs". No flamboyant mannerisms or accent with haughty language, just "Gino, you @*#!!, your @~*# is *&%#!". Truthfully Forsythe is incredible in this role, he uses voice and gesture to just about dominate this film (reportedly Seagal thought so to, as he insisted on trimming many of Forsythe's scenes).

I agree William Forsythe did a bang up great job in this picture as "Ritchie".

I never watched Steven Segal movies. Then when I checked it out on IMDB and saw Forsythe was in I had to watch it. He is superb in any movie I have seen him in and is one of my fav actors!

Yeah! and its so hilarious when he says "Shut up about the *beep* mouse!" I laugh so hard when I hear that, the delievery was perfect.

Yes, it is certainly a fine portrayal of a homicidal maniac.

Forsythe is sublime in anything he does. Portrays very real, very scary menace when playing a bad guy, and very believable capability as a good guy. I prefer seeing him as a good guy though.

Agreed. Without Forsythe this film wouldn't have been nearly as good. He's extremely underrated.
