Why did Gino lock his gun when he was ready to fight Richie?
I mean Richie was a dangerous man. Why did Gino put himself in such a risk by locking his gun?

shareHe ejected the magazine and cleared the barrel to put himself on a even footing with Richie and take him on in unarmed combat.
If he simply sat the gun down, Richie could have made a play for it and turned it on him.
I see. Then why wouldn't he just shoot Richie?
shareYou kinda missed the point of the movie.
He wanted to take Richie down himself, any idiot could just shoot the man, but Seagal has to do it in that tired cliche "I know martial arts" kinda way.
"Those bullets could've saved you a lot of pain" - He wants to make Richie pay for killing Bobby and everyone else he hurt.
That's exactly what I thought. But he was too easy on Ritchie. In his previous three movies he snapped many arms. He didn't snap Ritchie's arm or anything. I think he was too easy on Ritchie compared to what he did to bad guys in previous movies. Also the guy who had his leg blown off got a worse punishment than Ritchie. Why was Gino so easy on Ritchie compared to other bad guys?
